      Can anyone post a pic of how the choke plate works? I’m not doing something right.

        KH7 but should be same as KE4

              download/file.php?mode=view&id=9882 my plate set up is different. rod pushes to choke, and pulls to unchoke. I am doing something wrong.

                You have a AJ32A that is used on KG7 & KH7 that is the wrong plate for that carb. If you are using the AJ32A on KE4 it won’t run right.

                You need a screw with shoulder to keep the spring from binding, a spring and right choke plate. You pull the choke rod to close choke.

                Go to Marineengine.com and look the the setup for you engine.

                      I thought it was a KG-4 for some time, but the badge does say KE-4. Help educate me, I am old and confused quite a lot. If you can explain the difference I would appreciate it.

                        here is the setup for a KE4.note the carb is a AJ23A not an AJ32
