The reason I suggested mixing some oil in the gas, is for an extra measure of protection. With the possibility of fuel migrating back into the oil tank, [due to a bad oil check valve] the oil that’s in the tank now may be leaned out, or watered down so to speak. Of course it’s your call. I think Bill had also suggested this, and I agree. After repairs are completed, you can go back with trusting the oil injection to do it’s job.
