HI. My project is a 1946 Mercury KD-3. It is a single cylinder 3.2 HP model. I have only a couple of photographs of the exploded parts pages. I don’t have any of the pages opposite the exploded view that has the part numbers and names of the parts. I prefer a parts book that has the revised and upgraded parts numbers. For example the lower unit parts page I have shows the propeller shaft seal as M-50-140 but the modern number is 26-22058. Can anyone steer me to where I can see this exploded parts book online or get a copy of it ? Thanks, John Timmins / DaytonaJohn
July 24, 2023 at 1:03 am #278433I have a C.D. of old Mercury model parts. I haven’t looked for it for years now. If I can find it I will figure a way to e mail to you or copy the disc on my computer & send it to you, if I can find it. I am very handicapped in a wheel chair so it will take some time. I’ll look tomorrow after I get grocerys.
E mail me at jeff.50@cox.net please,
Jeff

July 24, 2023 at 5:31 pm #278461So far I have found the parts conversion book that translates the old parts numbers to the newer parts numbers and that’s a big help. What i really need now is the parts pictures in the exploded parts drawings and the page opposite that has the part number and the names of the parts for a 1946 KD-3. Then I can start part searching using my usual places. thanks, John

July 25, 2023 at 11:13 pm #278505Jeff, I have a 1946 KD-3 with the Scintilla ignition. Offhand I don’t know the serial number. The only thing I need are ALL the exploded parts pages for that model with the pages opposite with the parts names and numbers either original or the newer numbers. My email is racefan9@cfl.rr.com.
I’m sorry your a/c and refrigerator are sick. Hang in there! John
July 27, 2023 at 12:35 pm #278533Guys It’s been 118 degrees here. I found my disc but I need to download it to my computer because it’s copy protected then download to another disc to send to you. My brother knows how to do this & he will be here on the first of August. He lives 100 miles from me. You do need to look up your serial number because the updates & changes to your KD-4 as there is many improvements listed. Sorry it’s taking so long as the fridge man will be back today to install the parts. I’m lucky I have two fridges so all I did was transfer the stock, now to do it again. I’m not that good with a computer to do the proceedure unless someone here will instruct me how with windows 7. I know an old system!! I can view everything on the disc just can’t get it on my hardrive to recopy or send to my E Mail.

I managed to print the exploded parts view with the parts page related to the diagram. There are 27 pages so I can either scan & send 27 E mails or send the papers to you. Let me know which you want. I hope I can just send the papers of everything on your KD4, I tried printing just a few pages & it printed everything on the KD4.

July 27, 2023 at 11:06 pm #278578My project motor is a KD-3 serial number 108525. I don’t have a KD-4. It would be nice to have that information to share with others, but there’s no rush! Please take it easy !
