Mercury 40 4hp 1969, female fuel line connection

New to Mercury outboards trying to find the female fuel line connection for a 1969 Merc 40 4hp. There is a lot of stuff on-line, not sure which one fits.

Is it large or small?

I am thinking large by then. easy to find.

I understand there is a large and small connection, I do not know what this is.

If you have the serial number of your motor handy….go to marineengine.com or one of the other large vendors and look it up there.  Having the serial number is very important;  the year is somewhat incidental when ordering parts.
