I am. A bunch if I don’t break it. I’ll have a
lot of the shine rubbed off by the end of
summer but its just paint. Easy to redo as
long a I don’t put any dents in the tank.

Are those twist grip throttles from the factory or aftermarket at the time.  also did they have them for the kg7?

billy-j  they were an aftermarket gadget as far as I know.  Maybe Duotrol?  I’m not sure.  Pretty well made though.  Mine is on a KE-7 so I imagine it would fit others with the same mag plate.

I believe seakaye is correct in the manufacture
being Duo-Trol. The gear on the mag plate
was probably available for either magneto
or possibly you got both gears as a kit. The
assembly must also fit the block. There seems
to have been one available for the smaller
CI motors as well.

Did you overspray the Gold Lacquere with a a duller clear coat or some sort?  Your finish looks “perfect” in that it does not appear (in your pictures at least) to be extremely high gloss.  Looks like more of a semi-matte or satin….which is what I want to have.
