Thanks for the info! I am going to try to hit them up! So random question…what is the lining that goes on the inside of the cowl? Is that a heat shield?

Ok so I got some parts in today! Yay! I got my fuel pumps in. They are from the Mark 65…so I have a spare. I think they might need a diaphragm kit. It just bolts on where the other fuel pump was correct?

I also found a complete Mark 25 cowl kit thanks to you guys! It looks like it has the fuel line connector with it. So what is the opening on the starboard side of the cowl cover?

I still need to get a carb kit and the carb cleaner its needing some deep cleaning!

Yep, remove the old pulse port cover and mount the fuel pump with the backer plate in its place.

As Dave mentions, the slot in the starboard cover is for racer controls. Below is a picture of a Mark 25 with the racing throttle lever in place. There is a pretty hard to come by cover plate you can get to cover the hole, but you don’t see them too often.

Got ya. What do they look like? How much would you be willing to let one go for?

Yes!! Be sure to get the points contact surfaces very clean & matched to the opposite side. Don’t forget the contact areas using nice contact cleaning material for a better firing area too.

Started restoring my tank tonight. Looks like they switched it over to a fuel pump system. I am going to try to clean it up some more and use the factory connector. I am stoked that the fuel gauge is still clean enough to read through the glass.

I am playing mad scientist in the garage! Chemistry!!!!
