      Gear oil or grease in the lower unit?

        Grease I use John Deer corn head grease.

          It will be a small miracle if that old girl will hold oil.   I would use a “OO” grade grease.   John deer corn head grease, cherry head picker grease, lubraplate 105.  Tractors supply has Cherry Spindle head grease and it comes in a squeeze container that make it easy to get in that gear case.  NO WHEEL BEARING grease it is to thick and it does not flow into the right places.   Hope this helps

                I think I might need to replace the carb float on this mark 5. Open for suggestions?  Currently has the original cork. Do I need to make a cork replacement or is there another option. Also what are the carb settings? It fires up but seems to flood easily.
