      A friend brought me a Merc 6 1/2 gallon pressure tank to restore. I have to ask a stupid question. How is the tank supposed to open to fill it? I am assuming something is missing. There appears to be a spring loaded rod inside the handle that detents into the post on the side. If anyone has a picture or parts diagram it would be very helpful.

          That makes sense. I’m missing part #14. Looks like something that can be fabricated. Thanks so much. I searched everywhere I could think of online for a diagram, but could only find the lower parts.
