I got a prop from a neighbor. All he knew was it came off a 6 cyl, 100 HP Merc from the 1960s or 1970s. It’s a factory prop because it has “Quicksilver” stamped in it with these numbers:

48-1456-AB-19 (At least I think the last number is a 9 – hard to read).

      It’s a 2-blade brass prop with 15 splines.

What is this prop? Is the 19 on the end of the number the pitch? What is the diameter? I’m wondering if it will fit on my 1996 MerCruiser 4.3 V6 with an Alpha One drive? or maybe fit with a change in the thrust washer behind it? I had to change that washer to make a prop from a early 1970s MerCruiser fit.

        Opps – I said it was brass – I meant to say bronze……and I had a typo on the number – it’s 48-31456-A3-19.
