Getting my Mark 28 ready for paint. What is the best way to remove the ID tag without destroying it. I’m Not seeing any holes behind the pins. Maybe I need my other glasses. Thanks All!

I think I see in one of your photos that the plate looks bent. When I have this problem I remove the plate to straighten it and to paint under it. I have taken a 1/2″ or 1″ Comercial Hack saw blade about 8″ long and 1/16 in. thick and ground down one end of it to a sharp point with a grinder.(these are very hard blades). Put the sharp end of the tool about mid way on the pin head and tap on a slight upward angle, this will loosen the pin,if not tap on the other side of the pin.when the pin is raised up just a little bit it will pop out very easy. If your plate is straight just mask it off with Frog Tape, trim with an Xacto knife and paint.
