      A friend gave me this motor. it has model M6466-9005.

        I think you mean an M64GG-9005. It’s a 3 HP made in 1945 and 46, by Gale for Montgomery Wards. Gale is same company as Johnson and Evinrude. The Gale brand was Buccaneer, but they private labeled to several other name companies like Wards.

            Nice dinghy and motor. I believe the outboard depicted in the photo is the 1.5 hp. I have 10 of them. (thank you Dan Tannehill).
