I recently picked up this 13′ fiberglass "Gheenoe" type boat. No ID on boat but registration says it’s a 1960. It’s pretty heavy – just wondering how big an outboard I can put on it?

Pappy has a Speeditwin on his – runs 25 to 30 MPH depending on weather & load. . . . . . 😆

It looks very narrow and low-sided. I’m getting chicken in my old age but I was going to guess 7.5 max, for safety….

Yeah, I’m the same way – not as brave as when I was 20 years old! I have a 1947 Sportsman (2hp) and that is no problem. I also have a 10hp Johnson (QD23) but am afraid that may be a little much for the 13′ boat.

Contacted Gheenoe – it’s not one of their boats. Here’s a pic with my 1947 Sportsman.
