Just picked up a "51" Fleetwin. One owner. Motor, manual and stand. Very clean, original looking motor. Know the family that purchased it new.
Not sure when it ran last. Turns over, has compression, fuel tank is corrosion free. Lower end is silver. Upper sections are blue. No boots on plug wires.
AC M44C Marine plugs. Looking for parts and service manuals. Overhaul parts for these still available? Thanks for any information and any things to look out for as I proceed on this motor.

Model number? Might have the OMC Universal Magneto, available everywhere, might have the previous one with 580040 coils, made of gold. Carburetor is Tillotosn MD, Evinrude still has some parts for it. Water pump impeller is NLA. I’ve heard some guys say they have cut down a thicker one. I haven’t tried it.

More pics. A few signs of having fallen over. Dings, dents and carrying handle held together with perhaps J B Weld.

Nice and clean original. This is the kind of motor I look for. Well done.

4443 has the Universal Magneto. That’s great. But the coils need replacement unless it has already been done.

EDIT: At least the coils are very reasonably priced

I suppose the silver paint of gearcase isn’t original…

There’s a couple of 1950 steering brackets on ebay. Someone here should know if that would work or not.

Magneto looks pretty clean but will replace all parts.
