      Where can a guy find the Model & Ser. #’s on a Circa 1990 big Horsepower V-6? The core plug betw. the cyl. banks reads: 043 1798 with an odd looking "M" with it. That does not jive with any #’s resources. Anybody have deeper info? The cowling is mostly black w/a thin silver band & a thicker red one. Logos read: "Tracker Pro Series, 200, Oil Injected. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thank You, George 856-447-3641

        The number you gave on the core plug is a replacement power head assy number. If you look on the port side of the swivel bracket up top just to the left of the steering arm you should find a sticker. The model number should be like E or J150/200TLES the horsepower will depend on what size engine it is. There will probably be another letter at the end, but that is a production code number. ES is for 90. The word Introduces is used as code word for years. I is 1 thru S as 0. The numbers just keep repeating.
        The engine you describe was a model built for Tracker Marine. Same engine only decal changes.

          For clarification – Year of manufacture is determined by the third and fourth letters after the horse power;

          I = 1
          N = 2
          T = 3
          R = 4
          O = 5
          D = 6
          U = 7
          C = 8
          E = 9
          S = 0
