Even the fuel connector O-rings are a common size, I’ve bought 100 packs from McMaster carr for the price of a few oem orings.

The really odd one is the shift rod oring, but even that has been found in bulk but it’s a wierd metric size.

I’m all for supporting OEM but 10 cent parts for $4 plus shipping is too much. Also bearings and seals are all common sizes, just do some measuring and check online suppliers. I’ve found most OMC motor bearings and seals in stock at local autoparts stores

Of all the O rings on OMC that seem to cause a problem in correct fitting are the small ones used in the twin-hose pressure tank fuel connector. There have been several proposed standard replacements for the originals, some seem too skinny some too fat. I’m not sure where we are on this one, at this point in time.

McMaster-Carr sells the exact O-ring for the gas connector. You buy a bag of 100 for under $3.00. I’ve got a bag in the garage. I’m trying to think of the part number – I think it’s a #107, but not absolutely sure. Here is the site: https://www.mcmaster.com/o-rings/oil-resistant-buna-n-o-rings-8/

You are correct sir, I give everyone that buys a tool a free pair for their fitting.
