Odd Mercury KE4?

Tubs’ picture is a Duo-Trol aftermarket kit to give Mercs an OMC type twist grip throttle. I still have a few NOS kits buried in my garage, forgot which Merc model they fit. I may have to dig them out.

I take back what I said about the transom clamp, looks to be stock. The handles look to be homemade but not a bad job.
Assuming my manual is correct, here’s what the stock ones should have looked like.

How does the rear handle attach to the tank? Was drilling of the tank ring required? (It looks a little fragile in that area, for what it is designed to do.)

Those throttle controls sure look good. It would be nice to run one of those green monsters with one hand so you could hold on to the boat with the other!

rear handle was held on by the lower cowl bolts. used to help carry the motor and rest it on the back. just like a KG7

Yes, the Duo Troll twist grip shaft & gear drive fits only the KE7 on the 10 H. P. range motors & will not fit the KF7 or KG7. I am looking for the latter which fits the KF & KG green tankers & they made two different ones &; I have just posted a picture on the JOM board under the wanted section.

Dave: I am looking for a twist Grip throttle for a KF7 & KG7,they made two, one was a Vara- Speed & the other one, I do not know the name BUT I just posted pictures of both of them on the JOM board under the heading BUY-Sell-Trade WANTED if you are on that board, take a look;
