Can anyone confirm what these single lever controls are? Are they an OMC product? Didn’t Merc make something similar? They are in a well weathered Tollycraft being sold locally and are hooked up to twin ’58 Larks.

All I know is that it says “Morse” on the side.

        Prepare to be boarded!

Thanks Buck, I had trouble making that out so they are probably aftermarket then. ’58 should have been two lever controls still.

A couple more photos from the ad. Besides the one motor missing the rewind starter, I’m not sure if I like the idea of the electrical box in the motor well.

That is a Morse Control. An early single lever control that can be used on ‘most any outboard provided you have the proper adapter kit at the engine end (which are shown on the Evinrudes in your pictures). Interesting that you have a set of dual Morse controls for that twin engine setup. You don’t see that everyday.

Now I see bolts hanging down at the rear. The carry handles are missing to.

Wow, what a shame somebody let it go to pot like that. I bet that was a cool boat to drive, at one point.

                  Long live American manufacturing!
