Hey again, I’ve been offered these controls for free…wondering if they will work with pre-60’s OMC motors?

      Thanks in advance

I’ve heard an experienced had say the ones from the 60’s (like yours) were better!

These are actually nicer to use than the earlier controls with the adjustment knob for the throttle friction. Bill,

The early control boxes needed periodic maintenance (cleaning and re-lubrication) to properly function. Otherwise they became stiff and tended to break off the shift lever. These later ’60s models were designed to correct that.
