      Hi,
Can someone tell me which kit is correct for the fuel pump with the cover marked filter? It comes from an early 1960’s 40.

#438562 for the small outlet nipple 3/16" to the carb or #438556 for the larger outlet nipple 1/4". You can look at them on ME engine for Sierra cross over numbers or 360 degree viewing. There is no rebuild kit for the original pump.

          Dan,
Do you mean that there’s are no kits for the pump at the top with both the inlet and outlet on the body, or the older all diecast ones?

No kit for the top one, and there are 2 sizes of what I call "the triangle shaped fuel pump".

They quit making parts for the old die cast pumps about fifty years ago.
Of the two that you show, I think (maybe wrong) they take the same diaphragm, but because of the different filter gasket it is not listed for one of them.

Yes I have used the diaphragm from the newer kit on the older pumps, and made my own gasket.
