New lock clips will deliver today, so as soon as I can figure out where to install the top one I can finish putting together my little 4423. I am at a loss as to where to install the lock clip on the carb float needle that controls the upward travel of the float. The bottom one seems to have a groove where it should be, but I can’t see or feel a groove for the upper clip. Should there be one? Parts pic seems to show a line representing the lower groove, and one at the top to secure the fuel shutoff lever, but nothing for the upper float limit clip.

Found previous posts of parts explosion for this motor provided to others by Garry in Tampa that I am glad was available and wanted to pass along thanks for.

Again, as always, sincerely appreciative of any assistance!

Put the bottom clip on. Place float down till it’s secure on bottom clip. Slide top clip on till tight on top of float. You may have to fiddle with the clips to make sure they are flat, and tight on the shaft.
