      Hi all

This was one of the outboards donated to our chapter after our display at the 2016 Mandurah Boat Show. The owner has said that we can pick it up after we identify it… Can anyone here help?

I believe it is an early Tohatsu; it is similar to the OB2B motor the late Art Sesselberg had on his website, but this motor has a recoil starter and the OB2B doesn’t.

      Please see below for pictures.

      Thanks in advance

      Cheers
      BP

Looks like they did a lot of copying from Johnson’s successful TD series, on the lower end. Hey, if you’re gonna copy, copy something good, I guess. I wonder what the top end is a copy of. Is it a two or four stroke motor?

            Long live American manufacturing!
