Chainsaw motors may make a good power plant for your bikes too

Good idea – they already have a drive sprocket, but you will certainly need a chain guard.

I remember reading an old Popular Mechanics or similar magazine that
showed racing go-karts powered by McCollough chain saw engines.
Sounded like they really zipped along!

I love it! Everyone of these bikes are great. I like the chicken power motor, too. So cool. I have kick start washing machine motor in the shed. I wonder if I can make my own 2 stroke bicycle? Anyone got a spare trike? 🙂

I remember seeing photos in an old "Popular" magazine of a Maytag kickstart motor being used to power a homemade go kart that looked a lot like a pedal car. I also happen to have a 1929 Maytag motor in my garage…. Hmmmm….. 💡 💡 💡

If you have too many, AND not enough, you're a collector.

Kerry, maybe you could make a kick-start outboard……. now
              that would be something! 🙂

Yeah, but someone watching me trying to start it from a distance would probably think I was trying to "dispose" of my motor!!!

My old trike had a cracked frame. No one seemed interested in it, so when I got tired of tripping over it I put it out with the trash. It disappeared before trash pick up arrived. . . 😕
