I’m looking at Tractor Supply’s parts washer solvent, Crown PSC 1000. I would be using it in my basement. Does this product make a lot of fumes? I have no sense of smell, and I don’t want to create an explosive condition. I use Purple Power, but it doesn’t cut grease very well.

Are you on public sewer or septic tank? Do you have and use protective gloves eye protection?
A lot of products have health and/or safety issues. Read the back of the label before purchase.
Indoor use rules out solvents so you are left with detergents and old standbys such as TSP..
I have used Krud Kutter with good results. Inside can refer to commercial facility, detached
garage workshop or in residential work area. Be very cautious about what you use in home.
There are some products I would never buy or use again….Lye, dip carburetor cleaner and
others. Best to stick with stuff that will not bite you and even then protect your eyes, skin
        and lungs.
The promises in big pring on front of package are written by a salesman. The warnings in small print on back of package are written by a lawyer. Discount the promises, believe the warnings.

The MSDS sheet says it all. Contains naptha. Hazardous to eyes, respiratory system, skin, etc. And flammable.

BTW, you can look up the MSDS sheet for just about any product you can imagine. Law says they gotta give it to you if you ask.

I like "the promises in big print written by a salesman……"How true. Buyer beware!

Thanks for all of your suggestions. I bought a bottle of Gunk general degreaser- which I think is the same as in the spray can. I’ll be able to control the application. Let you know how it works. As a kid, I worked in an auto repair shop. We used open five gallon cans of gas for cleaning. And we smoked while we worked!

You should give thanks every day that you are still alive.
