Hey wait Mumbles…mine does not have a twist throttle!! Could just be missing for all I know!
8:1 ??? I did not know that. Thanks for letting me know. I usually have a 16:1 mix for any motor I start up no matter what HP it is. I have no idea how long these have been sitting so I run them heavy on oil. But 8:1 surprised me. I will do that.

According to that parts diagram, I need part # 6,7,8,9, and 10!

Part 15 is the water pump. Don’t drill the prop. I think I have parts 15and 17 and 18 here in Ohio Stan 1-419-589-58one8

I’ve got a couple of the Sea King version of that motor. They are pretty torquey, and make pretty good power.

Several of the Michigan Wheel props for this motor were not drilled as the stock prop. They did not cover as much of the lower unit area.

Many Gale built motors used the same basic motor. The Sea King was probably the most popular. The Elto Speedster came out in 1949. It was adapted to Johnson’s gearshift tower around 1951. Meanwhile Evinrude Souped it up with better reed valves and needle bearing rods for there 14 horse Fastwin. . . 😆

Is your Sea Bee 12 parts book the same as mine?

Garry, I have that parts book too. But the picture I posted earlier was from a 12S10 (1951-53) because it is an exploded view.
Same motor really except the ’51-53 has the Universal Magneto.
