Hi Mike. The old P/N 486277 has been superceded to the current P/N 378412.

M.E. is mighty proud of the one set they do have in stock so you might try Googling the 378412 P/N to see what happens.

I wonder if Dan Gano or Ed Elliot might have some for a reasonable price. I could use a couple of sets too..

Courtesy of Tubs. I’m wondering if you could mail them a ring, and they may be able to match it up. http://www.ringspacers.com/

                Thank you very much
Dave is making me 4 sets of rings. Great resource for discontinued rings for the vintage engines
                Again I appreciate your assistance.
                Thanks
                Mike

If the new rings are square cut on the ends, you will have to file a small notch on each end to clear the locating pin on the piston. It’s not hard to do but you do have to make sure you don’t file too much material away or break the ring doing it.

Dave filed the rings for me. This resource is very knowledgeable and will work with you. The cost was $ 36.00 for two sets of rings including shipping. I felt that was very reasonable.
