My previous post didn’t format correctly. It was supposed to be all blue, all same size but it didn’t come out that way, although I tried to edit it 3 times Using BBCodes. I’m going to try again and see what happens.

316 Stainless Steel Hairpin Cotter Pin for 7/64″ to 9/64″ Clevis Pin Diameter, 0.031″ Wire Diameter, packs of 25 – 3.10 per pack #92375A002

In a pinch, I’ve ran motors in the barrel without a retaining clip installed and relying solely on the bonding clip to hold the points in place.

If I tried doing it while out on the lake, I’d probably break down miles from the ramp!

316 Stainless Steel Hairpin looks another good solution … no McMaster around here

and those hairpins are pretty pricy on Amazon…I,ll try EBay and discounttown if not avaible the orange box store may have them if all else fails I’l use the fishing lure clips or twist some Stainless steel wire around the pivot post

where there is a will there is a way … right ! πŸ™‚

crosbyman, I can send you a few of those and a few of the real ones if you want. If I just put them in a regular letter envelope I think they’d go through ok to Canada.

Looks like those hairpins would be easier to install than the stock clips without flying all over the place!

Tiny things go well it envelopes if you put them on clear Scotch banding tape and then fold it over to make a none sticky sandwich.
