The Johnson LT 10 I’m working on has a brass lower tube. I’ve seen these polished and really like the look. Can someone recommend a method or product to accomplish it? And thanks for helping a newbie

I used Brasso on a Champion motor I restored.   Worked great.

If you have a 4-1/2 inch angle grinder, buffing wheels are sold to fit it. a little green or white rouge and viola.

I find Brasso the only polish the will cut through
the really tough tarnish like what you find on a
brass muffler. But once I get that off the grit in
Brasso leaves fine scratches. My first choice for
brass would be the Zephyr. This is the only metal
polish that I know of the dries to a haze that just
wipes off. The White Diamond is what I use the
most of as I can purchase it locally. I use the Blue
Magic as a final polish on aluminum as it seems
to reduce the swirl marks – sometimes. I’ve tried
all the metal polishes I aware of and anytime I
learn of one I’m not aware of I will give it a try.

a little sanding with wet 1000 grit sandpaper then polish works great for me.
