I find Cal-Jet outboards up to 1965. This look a lot spiffier than
mine. Guessing mine would be in the late 50’s, early 60’s.Prepare to be boarded!

Where did you find it?The text in the lower right of the decal says “Beverly Hills California”.
Can’t make out what it says in the lower left.
Maybe “Jed Clampett”?Prepare to be boarded!

August 14, 2019 at 11:44 am #181329Tubs, thanks again. There was a tiny bit of the operating instructions left on
mine (before I sand blasted it) .Prepare to be boarded!
August 14, 2019 at 8:06 pm #181338I found these Tecumseh / Power Product specs on the net.
Closest I could measure the stroke on my motor, makes it
an AV-51.
Have not found a parts manual yet. Seems to have good compression, etc.,
so I’m just going to see if it runs soon. A Motor’s manual does show it has
some kind of upper and lower crank seals though. Not sure if they’re
available. Will know if I can find the part numbers.Power Product Engine Specs

August 15, 2019 at 9:04 am #181351August 15, 2019 at 6:41 pm #181383I finished putting the Cal-Jet together today and fired it up.
I put a new carb kit (with diaphragm, etc.) in it, but it probably
needs crankshaft seals. It’s running lean on the idle circuit.
I should attempt to put some decals on it if I can find or
make some, then put it on the rack for the next 20 years!Prepare to be boarded!
