Hi all , I am ready to convert my 15012 Super Fastwin from a pressure tank to a fuel pump. I am using a Quicksilver pump kit 89977a 1. Is there any benefit using the pressure port as opposed to putting a fitting on the bypass cover. I know if I use the pressure port, I’ll have to remove the flapper. Or is the bypass cover just that much easier? If I drill through the bypass cover what size hole should it be. The cover is already cast with a hole I can thread for a brass elbow. let me know your thoughts. Thanks , Matt.

I would only use the bypass port if there is around hole cast in the port cover. Then you can tap with 1/8 pipe thread and drill hole bottom. There is more to it than just removing the flappers you also need to block a hole. There is a good video on You Tube.

plug the pressure nipple with a short stub of hose and a fat screw or bolt
