Is there some advantage to spraying silicone on a propeller?  Sure make a mess when an old joker is trying to paint them!  Is it like the old saying “you need a left hand screwdriver to adjust that carburetor”  or  “your muffler bearing needs some oil”  or  “you need a tube stretcher to make that part fit!”  Grrrrrrr!  Sonny beach I hate it when this happens.

works fine for my snowblower  auger and  chute but I doubt you would get any measurable advantage of spraying silicone on a prop. jmho.   April fool’s   left over ??

Yes, I did it when I ran I ran out of snake oil.

          "Fox News" isn't.

I wonder if the silicone spray might keep the stuff that grows on the bottom of the boat off the prop and lower unit when they are in need of painting?

A "Boathouse Repair" is one that done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

Just did a brief web search and it seems some silicone products help take off algae growth, but don’t prevent it from clinging on in the first place.  Apparently, other silicones can prevent it from clinging.  Didn’t fact check this AT ALL though.

Also, not sure if just on my end or not, but 76-j, I think you’re comment isn’t displaying properly.  All I’m seeing is a period.
