      Not mine – but I know what it is. Antique fans will know it too. Can you identify it?

      Enjoy

        No idea, but I love the fluted tiller handle. NEAT outboard!

        Prepare to be boarded!

          With the Japanese written on the decal it probably is a Showa/Shoa I know that is wrong but close

            Pretty sure it is a Johnson rotary valve motor with what looks like electric start and a massive coil. Am I warm at all?

            EDIT: TR-40 Giant Twin?

              1930 to 1932 16hp Johnson, SE 50.

              Here is its bigger brother, a recent barn find, the VE!

              T2, did you get it!?

              EDIT: WIll have to upload my VE pics to photobucket.

                .
                my wild guess;
                SE-50 or PE-50, but tank looks older with the cap at the side of the tank
                were there SE-65 or PE-65 too ?

                😉 😉

                  I can see the model # SE 50 stamped on the starter cover rim. That’s a rare bird. I would love to see the rest of the collection.

                        Good catch Kees! The tank is wrong for that motor…..the 1/2 speed rotary valve indicates it should have the tank with the filler at the rear—but who knows what Johnson did with left-over parts!
