      Hi all,
In the old forum I believe it was FrankR had a description of rebuilding the old 2 line fuel connectors. Can someone repost this? I got my 59 Golden jubilee 18 Evinrude to fire today, but the connector from the tank was leaking badly. I need to replace the O rings in this connector. Thanks for any help!

I highly recommend the tool that Frank makes.

I just rebuilt two of mine.
I used an old heavy duty clothes hanger, cut the wire so it stuck out about 1/4" above the hole, where the hose goes on, drove the bushing out by tapping the wire down, just like pounding in a nail with a hammer.
Took about 5 minutes to do both.

Does anyone know the BRP part number for the O rings? My local BRP dealer (22 Miles away) Has a bunch of young kids working there. When I inquired about the O rings for the old two line connector I was treated with 2, count em, 2 totally blank stares. Seems if it does not go on a modern Jet Ski, Snowmobile or motorcycle my two new young friends are CLUELESS!

                  Part # 301824. Sierra # is 18-7111.

I don’t recommend the Sierra ones. They are the wrong size. Unless they’ve fixed the problem recently.

When tapping the parts back together, do I apply any kind of sealer to the sides of the brass ring that holds the Orings?
