      I am restoring a 1947 Scott Atwater 3.6HP standard. It had a broken recoil spring, I have installed a new one but I still have slack in the starter cord.

      I am assuming I need to add some additional tension on the spring, but not sure how that is accomplished. Any advice would be really appreciated.
