Hello, I would appreciate a recommendation for an outboard motor stand with wheels. The purpose is wheeling tbe motor to the boat, working on the motor, storage and occasional test run of the motor. I am just getting into the hobby and just restored a 1948 Sea King 5 horse at 45 lbs, however, would like the stand to accommodate up to 150 lb motor.

    Thanks

I’ve made a few of these. Cheap and stable. most expensive part is the wheels.

Here’s mine that I built several years ago, using pre-fab framing brackets and 2x lumber from the local big box store.  The ’56 Johnson 30hp motor weighs around 115 lbs or so and I’m sure this stand could support up to the 150 lbs you’re looking for.  This stand works real well for motor teardown, re-assembly, storage, transport or doing test runs.

You can also get a folding walker like is used by older folks, and bolt a board to it with “U” bolts.. They work fine for smaller motors. I see them for sale cheap used.

I think I will build a stationary stand for storage and repair. Thank you for the plans and your response.
