replacement coils for my Elgin outboard

I need to get two new coils for my Elgin outboard motor.  the green coils have a part number of 1000012 on single coil, nothing on the other coil.  that green coils from Asia.

Are these coils available on Ebay, or other marine parts outlets?  The coils number is not returning search results.  the motor is the selectable horsepower 3, 7,12 HP version from Sears.

This is the magneto from my 1959 12 hp.
Is this like your mag?
It may be possible to do a coil swap using OMC
universal coils. Perhaps someone that’s done
it on this magneto will chime in.

The model number of your Elgin would help.  Or the manufacturer.  Or a picture of the engine and mag plate.

The bad coils on there now are green and from Asia?

model number is 571.58901 Egin listed as a 12 h.p. although it is a key selectable h.p on the face of the control panel.

no my plate is different.  coils are X7500 from parts manual.  stated as WICO, but later in paragraph mentioned as Fairbanks-Morse coils.

the bottom diagram is close than the top.

My model is 571.58901 serial number 901 8351

yes to WICO 7500 coils.

571.8901 is listed as a 1955 12hp, made by west bend.  Closest I can come is 1957 12hp west bend, model 160941.  Yep, X7500 coils.
