      So I managed to loose this little important screw for my ’56 Johnson 10hp. I’ve posted a WTB but I thinking I’m could use a regular bolt from the hardware store if I knew the right size/thread count. Does anyone have one on hand to measure up?

          I would not attempt to substitute that connector bolt, a bad shift rod connection will result in poor shifting and clutch dog damage.

            Stainless steel, 1/4-28 thread, 3/8" head.

                Yes 1/4X 28  If you have to buy some get allen head.  Lots easier to install!  If you drop that bugger down in the water pump area ya gotta pull the LU back off.   Don’ ask me how I know this.
