I’m doing some minor work on my Super G and I got curious about the rope sheave. I’m sure it’s after-market given the installation but I’m curious if it’s an Evinrude produced accessory? Any ideas? The motor also has a forward mounted set of pulleys that look like add-ons but of a good quality.
I’m never sure if I should pull these kind of things off or leave them on.

It was in fact an accessory, I have one, used a type of belt, I believe, I just use a rope…. Makes it different starting, but these are known for ease of starting and they do start easy…

        I would leave it

        Regards

Yep, I agree, it is an accessory, but………..
it is for the single cylinder Evinrude Rowboat Motor
of course this will also work on the ruddertwin flywheel but you have to drill the holes for it
so in MHO not original for an Elto ruddertwin.

          😉

So I’m building a logic model that says I have a correct accessory for an RBM and I have a set of decals for an RBM so I should take the rope sheave off the Ruddertwin and get an RBM. How’s that?

            Thanks

At least it is a start ! 😯
a couple more parts to go and you have a complete motor

              😆 😆
