Resurrecting an old outbrd that was in our shed for over 45yrs…put in new rings and got the engine turning over..

Trying to find a carburator kit for AJ-17A /Tillotson

Cleaned it up somewhat and found a cork float that is questionable and a few other items as well

    Any help would be appreciated

      Thank you…

Was hoping for a master kit that includes a few more items like needle/seat……

Would there be another one out there that has more to the kit

aside from a crappy float (available)  the rest should just need a good cleaning especially the idle  circuit  see 14 &16 parts

a good soak and blast should do it

Usually pretty easy to make a new float from cork or balsa wood. Coat it with model airplane hot fuel proof dope or super glue or even Red Coat tank sealant.

Thank you…the information given is most appreciated

I will try using the same float…but if the carburetor floods out I will post and start looking for more help
