I’m doing a little research, and I’m wondering if anyone has documented
a replacement ball bearing for the subject matter’s
“front” prop shaft ball bearing?
It attaches to the back of the prop shaft gear, and it’s dimensions are….Shaft – 7.87
OD 1.850
Width .555I believe it’s Scott part number 3745-3148, as shown in this 3355 parts diagram,
which I believe is the same as the 3365 gear case. The rear prop shaft ball bearing and the driveshaft needle bearing are
readily available.
FYI, they are –
1616 ball bearing, .500 shaft, 1.125 OD, .375 Width
and
BH-812 needle bearing, .500 shaft, .750 OD, .750 tallPrepare to be boarded!

It’s at Amazon.com, but for some reason I can’t make the web address show, but you can find it at Amazon by running a search on “1616-2RS” or run a web search on the number 1616-2RS for a lot of other places to buy it.

January 3, 2021 at 7:21 pm #226960Here’s the one I used on my S/A 3365. Looks like 6204 2RS printed on the package which is a common shielded bearing. The shields can be taken out to make it an open bearing for use on your motor. Since most bearings are measured in metric, the measurements for the 6204 are 20 X 47 X 14 mm.

January 3, 2021 at 8:43 pm #226977THANKS guys! I kind of forgot the whole “metric” thing about bearings.
Searching for said bearing with my inch measurements had me believing
I was looking for something rare and obsolete, lol.
Just ordered a couple of the 6204 bearings, “open” style.Prepare to be boarded!
