I’m looking to hook up a forum dedicated to Scott McCullough outboards.  I have a 1961 25 hp, and unfortunately printed information, manuals and experienced owners/mechanics are indeed a scarce comedy that will only continue to decline with time.  Any assistance will be greatly appreciated!!

There  are quite a few Scott Atwater/ Scott McCulloch enthusiasts on here.  More here than anywhere else;  especially considering the level of professionalism that exists here.  Sadly though, Facebook continues to drain away some of the AOMCI folks.

I think you mentioned that someone in your family “does Facebook”…….there certainly are Scott groups on there.  Some of them are very knowledgeable.

I’m working on a Elgine which is actually a 1961 Mcculloch/ Scott 14.1 hp.   Tying to source some impellers.   I’ve found a  rebuild it for the Carter N type carb but several carbs were used in those years. I believe the gearcase on the 25 is the same at the 14.1 or designed the same,  Bai-o-matic.   Mine takes 2 impellers.

Thomas you have the original McCulloch part number and the Sierra equivalent from my reply to you in your other thread.  You can set up a search for those in ebay and get an e-mail if/when someone posts one for sale.  They’re apt to be very old stock…..but better than nothing.

There are a couple of members here who make impellers if you can supply them with the original core.  Those guys seem to shy away from Bail-O-Matic impellers though because (so they say) of the high failure rate in those motors.  All you can do is ask and see what they say.

How about that HONDA equivalent?  Does it seem to match the impeller in your motor?
