I cannot find a plate or serial number on this motor.
Can anyone verify year and model?
It is a 3.0 2 cylinder, starts on first pull and runs like a champ.

There should be a brass welsh plug on the front, port side of motor, behind the carburetor. The number on this will be the model and serial number.

            Great thanks.
            Does that tell the year?

Wow. A 2 cylinder with only 2.8 hp.
                Thanks for the info.
I think it is a cool motor with the cowling. And it runs great. Lots of weight for wimpy hp.

                    Mine has Wards 14.
                    I think original plugs.
                    Sucker runs great.

If they take 14mm plugs, then a j7j set at 0.025″ would work. I use a NGK B6S or #3510.

The 449 shows it is a 1938. Nice old motor.
