If you plan  to seal some floats with KG  you may want to look into  home made  instant KG hardeners on Utube.

They  sell $$  accelerant (accelerators)   for KG  but…you can make your own for pennies.  Works like magic in 1 second or two.

CA glue an acid    instantly  reacts   to  bases such as… baking soda

Just  add  2 ounces  of  rubbing alcool which  has a  % of water  in a small spray  bottle  and  add a pea size amount of baking soda

If you add to much baking soda  let it settle out and  transfer (decant) the clear  solution to  get rid of the excess  undiluted baking soda.

For glueing   or sealing  where fast cure is desired   just a puff  or two  will  instantly harden the glue  to any surface.

this  also works on a mix  of  baking soda/KG paste where instant  rock hard  joints or fillings  are needed … better yet some use  simpe  carbon scrapped from a HB  or carpenter’s pencil.

Dollar store or Amazon spray bottles cost next to nothing or just use  an empty eyeglass cleaner  spray  bottle.

      Happy gluing  🙂

I use Bob Smith brand medium CA

glue (purple label) available at any good Hobby Store. I usually let air dry

until dry. I use a small 1/16 “ dia music wire to hold cork float when gluing and drying. If I wanted to put on two coats the CA Excellerator from Bob Smith works well. I have used many brands of CA while building RC models From the OG Satellite City,

Carl Goldberg, Tower Hobbies brand, to ZAP Products. For the money Bob Smith brand is a grood product at a reasonable price.
