      Just picked this sears motor up at an estate sale, runs but leaks gas from the fuel shut off valve, and needs a air cleaner assembly. Having trouble finding any info or parts… model number is 298-586192. Serial is G099271. Any parts source assistance would be great.

            Reproduction fuel bowls have been available on ebay. Carb cover is not an air filter, just keeps water out. These are not used in dusty areas. Use chain saw oil for air cooled 2 strokes.

              I have the 1hp version aqua bug and the cover is not available anymore. If you can’t find a doner motor, my suggestion is to make a makeshift one from Jbweld.
