Hint, Had a hydromatic trans, put in reverse it will back up. Turned off put into reverse, It’s park! Magic!!

December 26, 2020 at 2:47 am #225979In the late 50’s, the Big Three were hiding the tank filler everywhere. My ’57 Ford had it under the license plate and the Chevies had it in one of the tail lights to. I think they were deemed dangerous in case of a rear ender and they had to be moved back to the side panels.

Very few Caddy’s have ever been imported into NZ over the years and it’s only in the last few years that enthusiasts have been buying them in the US and shipping them here.Monte NZ
December 26, 2020 at 5:42 am #225989Hey Scott, That might be one from my collection that I had a while back, but sold on ebay. It has the same few identifying marks of one I scanned in and saved on my computer. I would usually border them too with a light gray or matching color in my imaging program. I posted a bunch of them a while back here and that particular one I sold on ebay when I found a slightly better one. The image you posted might be high enough resolution to look good if you printed it out. If not let me know and I’ll make a copy for you at Staples of the one I have now and send it to you.
