I had several Champions fail in motorcycles years
ago. Switched to AC and never had any more
problems. Don’t ever remember a Champion failing
in a car but when the time came to change them I
switches AC’s. Had a new Champion start missing
in a Super Elto a couple years ago. I was away
from home and the place I went had AC’s that
crossed over. I took all they had. I’ve run a Mercury
with the Bendix ignition a lot this year. AC’s didn’t
cross over so I used Champions and never had a
problem. I don’t have the motor anymore but
if was to have had a problem I would have tried
        NKG’s.

A "Boathouse Repair" is one that done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

NGK B6S is a good choice for a Champion J6C or J8C replacement. Never had a problem even though it covers two Champion heat ranges. Great plugs.
