I am looking at purchasing a 19 5525 horse Evinrude it has a starter it’s an aqua sonic but it doesn’t look like it has a starter box what does that starter box include can’t I just purchase a solenoid and use a remote switch to startAnd a remote choke to engage an electric choke.

I made up a box for mine using a plastic electrical junction box that had a waterproof,
screw on cover. For some reason, I can’t find any photos of it.
I spun my starter with a 12 volt battery, and had a resistor to feed my choke solenoid
        6 volts.
I mounted the box near the stern of the boat and ran wiring from there.

        Found the photo!…

They seem hard to come by. There is the design for the 1956 and earlier motors meant for 6 volt and a design for the 1957 and later engines. The 1957 is much bigger and meant for 12 volt starters and batteries. The part number for cover itself is 203504. The part number for the bracket that the solenoid attaches to as well as the cover is 203506.
