    Hello,

I will appreciate if anyone can help me with the type, diameter of starter rope to
replace the original rope with a wire inner.
    thanks in advance!

The biggest challenge is finding a way to secure the rope,
as the wire cable ropes had a “hook” on the end, and did
      not have clearance issue.
Some times tying a knot in a nylon rope and not having
      it rub is a problem.
However way you come up with, you’ll probably end up
using a smaller diameter rope than the original.

      Prepare to be boarded!

        Hello,

So I understand that I may have some difficulty attacking the new starter rope from your replies. Also mentioned that maybe need to use a smaller diameter rope. What diameter rope should I use and should it be nylon?

        Thanks

5/32 should do…   maybe you can build a hook and attach/crimp  it to the rope  followed with a few drops of  crazy glue to secure it

get good rope  from small engine repair shops  70-75 inches or less should do

Use a “Hard Braid” nylon rope, not the soft floppy kind.
