Is there any way to connect a 1/2 drill through a one-way drive to the flywheel nut for starting a motor?
I think, without the drive, if the motor starts it would rip the drill out of my hands. My motor is a 24 cu in 16 hp.
Can some rewind be adapted to do this or can a drive be purchased?

Be sure to use a corded drill as a cordless drill will stop instantly when the trigger is released and get wrenched out of your hands when the motor starts. The one way clutch is a good idea to.

Don’t use an impact wrench. It will beat away at the flywheel nut and over-torque it.

Yes, I would be concerned about over torqueing the flywheel nut also, even with a conventional drill…
