      i have never seen this type of steering wheel on a vintage boat before. anybody have any idea who made the wheel? ever seen them before? I don’t see any name on it. thanks! scott

            I can’t help with the helm, but the boat looks pretty cool, Lone Star I’m guessing from what I can see.

                Scott,
                That looks like the factory installed steering wheel from Alumacraft. Here’s a picture of my friends 59 FD with the factory side steering set up.
                When new the chrome center cap would have said Alumacraft in red. I don’t know who Alumacraft sourced them from back in the day.

                  I’m jealous! That’s the only Flying C I have ever seen. It will be a great boat for you. You just can’t beat an Alumacraft in my opinion. Scott, can you post some more pics of the boat? Thanks

                    absolutely jerry! I seem to remember you have a very nice FDR, correct? mine came with no cushions/upholstery. did you make yours from scratch?

                        the first one is a waterskiing bar that came with it (pretty cool) and the second is of the windshield.
