Yes – Dad raced in the Missouri Valley Racing association circuit in the 1920s when they competed with APBA for outboard racers. This was one of his last races as an independent. He was then hired by Ole Evinrude to work in Elto’s Experimental engineering department which quickly became part of OMC. He then worked with "Irgie" Irgens and Denny Watkens testing, modifying, and assembling OMC racing motors, specifically 460s and Speedi Bees.
Dad transferred to sales in 1931 and was Evinrudes top Sales Rep for 30 years.
